Yoshimura Sumimura is the 22nd heir of the Sumimura clan. Together with Tokine Yukimura, the 22nd Kekkaishi of the Yukimura clan, they protect the land of the Karasumori.
Kekkaishis are the protectors of the Karasumori. They use powers called kekkai that captures and destroys ayakashi.
Ayakashis are the demons that become stronger whenever they come near to the site of the Karasumori.
